Harnessing YP Energy (The HYPE)

Harnessing Young Professional Energy

MCU’s official young professionals’ group is called HYPE (Harnessing Young Professional Energy). This active community is comprised of professionals who are around 40ish or younger and employed by a credit union in Montana. Led by the seven-person HYPE Committee, the group is working to build momentum and increase the engagement of and professional development opportunities for younger credit union professionals.

What’s The HYPE About?

Members support one another, share ideas, serve as sounding boards, and encourage each other to get the training and experience they need to advance in their credit union careers. They really focus on embodying the credit union difference.

  • They organize an annual fundraiser/community outreach event during MCU’s fall conference and have raised thousands for various Montana non-profits over the past several years.
  • They produce a quarterly e-newsletter The HYPE (if you’d like to subscribe, email Michelle)
  • They recently launched a June workshop tailored to and reserved for young professionals.

How Do You Get Involved?

If you or someone in your credit union is 40ish or younger and interested in networking, sharing knowledge, professional development, and community engagement, contact one of the members of our HYPE Committee for more information.

Upcoming Events

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is a critical skill in the workplace, with research proving that those who demonstrate a high EQ outperform others to achieve more, earn more, and become more fulfilled. The good news: emotional intelligence can be learned and practiced. Join our community call with Josh Kroll on February 8 to dive deeper into self-awareness and social cues to understand how managing emotions and interactions leads to better outcomes.
