November 18 Montana’s Credit Unions is seeking our next President/Chief Executive Officer. We are a small and thriving trade association, committed to the well-being of financial cooperatives across Montana and the consumers they serve. Our approximately 50 member credit unions (representing 100% affiliation of our potential members) are highly supportive of the work we do in education, advocacy, and collaboration. PRESIDENT/CEO — BRITTON, SD

December 2 Norstar Federal Credit Union in Britton, South Dakota is searching for its next President/CEO. The board is looking for a seasoned executive who can build on the vision of the credit union and assist in growing the organization. In collaboration with the board of directors, this executive will be responsible for achieving the long and short-term goals and objectives as established in the strategic plan and maintaining the stability and health of the credit union. The ideal candidate will be a team leader, humble, well-rounded, strategic, and an excellent communicator and able to lead a team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. A minimum of five years of executive experience with a financial institution is preferred.


SENIOR BUSINESS LENDER — BILLINGS, MT

October 25 Black Hills Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Senior Business Lender to work in our Billings West Promenade MSC. The person in this position will be responsible for establishing business relationships with commercial borrowers by providing lending and product expertise while ensuring loan quality and deposit growth for the Credit Union. This person is also responsible for ensuring the business credit operations are in accordance with established policies and result in maximum volume and profit for the Credit Union. Also, the Senior Business Lender will be responsible for approving, rejecting, and processing business loan applications; verifying applications for completeness; conducting credit investigations; determining the value and status of collateral (if any); establishing a signature limit (if applicable); and documenting business loans as per Credit Union policy and procedures.


MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR — BILLINGS, MT

October 25 Black Hills Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to work in our Billings West Promenade MSC. The person in this position will seek out, originate, and process real estate loan applications and make loan decisions according to credit union policies and secondary market requirements. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with outside parties, including but not limited to members, real estate agents, and builders. The Mortgage Loan Originator will also be responsible for initial collection of delinquent real estate loans, remaining current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect the real estate lending program, and perform other duties assigned by the Mortgage Department Manager.


VP OF RETAIL SALES — HELENA, MT

October 25 Intrepid Credit Union is accepting applications for our VP of Retail Services.  The person in this position is responsible for the operations of the branches in the credit union’s field of membership (FOM). They are accountable for working directly with the Senior VP of Retail Operations in a cooperative manner — in both the management of the branches and in specific areas of accountability. The VP of Retail Sales manages and influences the profitability of the branch network with particular emphasis on building member relationships; expands the sales culture and sales processes; provides leadership and resources to achieve desired results; and leads assigned branch staff activities towards the attainment of branch goals. They utilize problem-solving, decision-making, and team-building skills while maintaining a high degree of flexibility, promoting high morale, and exhibiting positive attitudes towards members and fellow employees while instilling a sense of team spirit throughout the branch network.

CONSUMER LENDER — BILLINGS, MT

October 25 Black Hills Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Consumer Lender to work in our Billings West Promenade MSC. The person in this position will assist members personally or by telephone and perform member service and lending functions. They will be responsible for opening, processing, and maintenance of all types of new accounts. The Consumer Lender will provide information, take applications, approve or reject, and process consumer, home equity/home improvement loans, mobile home loans, and business loans following Credit Union procedures and policies. Also, this person will educate and inform members of all BHFCU products and services and cross-sell when applicable while making referrals when appropriate.


MEMBER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE — BILLINGS, MT

October 25 Black Hills Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Member Experience Associate to work in our Billings West Promenade MSC. The person in this position is responsible for providing outstanding member service while actively encouraging and educating members on the use of ITMs and other credit union products and services. This person will assist members with online banking support, instant issue and member select PIN requests, notaries, safe deposit box entry, ordering checks, address and phone number updates, opening sub-share accounts, changing account types, and performing teller functions as needed. The MEA will also educate and inform members of all BHFCU products and services, cross-sell when applicable, and make referrals when appropriate.


COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER — KALISPELL, MT

October 12 – Whitefish Credit Union is looking for a full-time Commercial Loan Officer for its Kalispell Operations Center. The person in this position will successfully obtain, manage, and build profitable account relationships with the majority of clients being complex business members. They will interact with business owners on a daily basis and proactively identify financial products that may benefit the owners’ businesses. The commercial loan officer will ensure the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio by both acquiring new members and expanding the relationships of existing members to the credit union.


CONSUMER TITLE SPECIALIST — KALISPELL, MT

October 12 – Whitefish Credit Union is looking for a full-time Consumer Title Specialist for its Kalispell Operations Center. The person in this position processes and completes all vehicle title paperwork for new purchases and works to secure liens on all currently owned vehicles. They will research title issues and assist lending staff with title-related questions as well as communicate with county and state motor vehicle offices, dealerships, and lenders to resolve title-related issues and secure the credit union’s liens. In addition, they will assist and support the Consumer Loan Servicing Manager with all facets of new and paid-off consumer loans and consumer loan purchasing refinancing while assisting other team members when and as needed.


MICROSOFT SYSTEMS ENGINEER 1 — GREAT FALLS, MT

September 14 Member Driven Technologies (MDT) is currently seeking a Microsoft Systems Engineer I o work in its Great Falls office. The person in this position is responsible for maintaining smooth operations of all of MDT’s systems and applications. They provide technical support to users and clients as needed, diagnose and resolve systems and application problems, and monitor system security, backup, and overall system protection. They also evaluate, recommend, and implement system software and hardware and assist in the development of IT strategies and policies. They are expected to maintain professional business relations with clients and outside contacts while keeping management well informed of area activities. VP OF LENDING AND MEMBER SERVICES — GREAT FALLS, MT

August 25 Montana Credit Union is currently seeking a VP of Lending and Member Services, to serve on its executive leadership team. The person in this position is involved in making organizational and strategic decisions and is responsible for directing and monitoring day-to-day member services, lending, secondary market real estate, and collection operations while ensuring that established goals and objectives are met. They participate in establishing a budget of operations, including incentive plans, and ensure the team functions within budget and its goals are met. They will maintain current knowledge on compliance issues and formulate or recommend changes in operating procedures and policies accordingly along with leading in the development of new products and services. They will also actively participate in the Asset/Liability Committee to make sure the credit union maintains adequate levels of capital, liquidity, and pricing spreads. They will oversee and maintain loan analytics software and are responsible for the oversight of the credit union’s indirect lending program. Finally, they will supervise appropriate recruiting, training, supervision, developing, coaching, and all other supervisory activities for designated staff.

BRANCH SUPERVISOR — SHELBY and CUT BANK, MT

August 25 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union is currently looking for two Branch Supervisors — one for its branch in Shelby, Montana, and one for its branch in Cut Bank, Montana. The people in these positions will be responsible for supervising and directing the operations of a small branch for a full-service credit union.  These duties include, but are not limited to overseeing operational, accounting, marketing, and loan processes. They will be responsible for loan underwriting and lending decisions, building deposits and loan relationships, and promoting sales of products/services along with retaining and building relationships with members. They will also recruit, hire, train, coach, mentor, and supervise support staff as well as monitor the branch facility and its equipment needs. The ideal branch supervisor candidate must be service-oriented and possess strong analytical, computer, communications, planning, and organizational skills. COLLECTOR I — KALISPELL, MT

June 15 – Whitefish Credit Union is looking for a full-time Collector I for its Kalispell Operations Center. The person in this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining continuous contact with credit union members who have delinquent loans or accounts, serving as a liaison between those members and the special assets manager. They work proactively with internal staff to garner information and facilitate gathering payments from members with past-due loans while pursuing win-win outcomes that both diminish outstanding member debt and maintain positive member relationships. The collector participates in maintaining a financially sound loan portfolio through early delinquency control.
