The Brawl of the Wild Cats/Griz Icon Fundraiser

🏈 Each November, leading up to Montana’s legendary Brawl of the Wild football rivalry, credit unions across the state channel Cat-Griz pride into something even bigger: rallying around a statewide cause that makes a difference for Montanans. Through the sale of Cat and Griz fundraising icons and other friendly competition activities, credit unions, members, and communities come together to support a meaningful cause while enjoying one of the state’s most spirited traditions.

The generosity of our credit unions never ceases to amaze us. Last year, credit unions, their members, and their communities raised more than $27,700, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish together in 2026.

This year, we have selected Shodair Children’s Hospital as our recipient, with 100% of proceeds supporting their important work on behalf of Montana children and families

A Little More About Shodair

Unlike most Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which focus primarily on physical health needs, Shodair Children’s Hospital serves as Montana’s leading resource for children’s mental and behavioral health. Families from every corner of the state turn to Shodair for specialized psychiatric care, trauma treatment, and mental health services that often aren’t available in their local communities.

As the only facility in Montana offering acute, residential, and outpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents on one campus, Shodair helps ensure young people can access life-changing care close to home. Through statewide outreach, telehealth services, and its nationally recognized genetics program, Shodair’s impact extends far beyond Helena, helping children and families build healthier, brighter futures no matter where they live in Montana.
