An article in the Fall 2022 Credit Union Magazine offered some great advice for credit union boards of directors: “[C]heck your rear-view mirror but focus on what’s ahead to find the best route to your credit union’s future financial goals.” As board members, you already volunteer your time for those meetings. Shouldn’t making the most of the time and discussion be a goal to ensure the credit union succeeds and you are not just spending a few hours each month regurgitating the same conversations you held last month?

I would encourage you to give Better Board Financial Conversations a read and think about how you can start to incorporate the suggestions into your agenda.
