April is an exciting time in credit unions as we celebrate youth month. This year’s theme is sure to trigger some fun and engaging activities for young members and attract new ones to credit unions across our state. Kids have a natural curiosity and willingness to look forward, so celebrating The Future is Yours: Picture It! Save for It! Share It! will get them excited.

Credit unions and board members frequently discuss ways to attract younger members. Getting young people to open accounts and start to learn about credit unions is a great start! While they may not be applying for loans this year, it is entirely possible that their first impression of a credit union during this month may stick with them and bring them back when they’re ready for a car loan or have other financial needs.
