These are a Few of My Favorite Things (Blogs)

Did you know this blog started in March 2014? The intention was to have a venue to communicate with volunteer board members and share valuable resources and information relevant to your role and to save you time keeping up on industry issues. None of that has changed. The blog does include occasional information for supervisory committee members now, and I hope it remains valuable.

While searching recently for a topic I was sure had been in the blog, I realized our website only hosts an archive back to January 2017. The archive is a great way to find a topic your board might be discussing, and the search feature (upper right-hand corner of the page) is easy to use. If you joined the blog in the last year or two, you might enjoy looking back at some of the former discussions.

Here are a few of my favorites from the past:

In the coming weeks, you’ll see a discussion of whether credit union board members should be paid, and I’ll share some valuable tips that a couple of board chairs provided on what they learned in their role. Make sure your fellow board and supervisory committee members are signed up to receive the weekly email. Contact me to subscribe or if you are not sure who receives it at your credit union. As always, I love to hear from you about any topics you would like to see discussed.
