Let’s face it, we all have a minute, even on our busiest days. The question should be, do you have a minute to learn some great tips and perspectives on board governance? I recently discovered a podcast with thoughtful discussion, quick get-to-the-point conversation, and topics that are very relatable for directors: One Minute Governance.

Host Matt Fullbrook not only asks the tough questions, but he also addresses several topics from multiple angles. For example, I enjoyed one centered around the question “How might we empower our quietest directors to make an impact,” and it was countered in the next episode by “How might we empower our loudest directors to be better listeners?” There are several topics within the list that do this multi-faceted review of a question. The approach is inspiring.

Keep in mind that each episode is short — about a minute and a half — and you can start to see how this resource can really help you think — and grow — in your role.
