Montana’s Credit Unions Welcomes Two New Board Members

November 20, 2025 — Montana’s Credit Unions (MCU) is pleased to announce the addition of Jason Hagadone, President/CEO of Altana Federal Credit Union, and Shiloh Smeltzer, CEO of Badlands Federal Credit Union, to its Board of Directors. These accomplished leaders bring extensive experience and a strong dedication to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”

Said Jeremy Presta, President/CEO of Park Side Credit Union and MCU Board Chair, “We have been blessed over the years to have amazing people lead Montana’s Credit Unions, and we are just as excited to welcome both Shiloh and Jason to our Board of Directors.”

As board members, Jason and Shiloh will help guide the strategic direction of MCU, ensuring ongoing progress in financial well-being for all, community impact, and cooperative values across Big Sky Country.

“I’m excited to be a part of Montana’s credit unions and to help support the cooperative mission that serves members across our state,” said Jason about his position on the board.

Shiloh said of her appointment as an associate member on the board, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Associate Board Member for Montana’s Credit Unions. I’m excited to support the mission of helping Montanans achieve financial success through collaboration, advocacy, and community-driven leadership.”

“Welcoming our new board members is more than adding seats at the table — it’s expanding our vision, our wisdom, and our ability to create lasting impact,” said Gerry Singleton, Montana’s Credit Unions President and CEO. “I’m thrilled for the fresh perspectives and leadership Jason and Shiloh bring, and I can’t wait to see the future we’ll shape together.”
