Lisa Simons is an Account Executive with TruStage. She recently indulged us with a closer look into who she is and what motivates her. Check it out below!

Tell us about your career journey to the role you have now.

I began my career as a teenager at Farmers Insurance, learning the fundamentals of quoting and binding auto insurance. I then moved into roles within credit unions and banks — gaining experience in management, sales, and lending— which ultimately led me to TruStage in 2014. I started as a Lending Protection Manager, supporting credit unions in building strong lending programs, and later moved into the Account Consultant role to further develop my skills, knowing my long-term goal was to become an Account Executive.

Your grandbabies are pretty special; tell me more.

I am VERY proud to share that I have six healthy grandchildren with two more on the way. Spending time with my little loves is truly another form of relationship management, LOL! Both require patience, guidance, and a healthy dose of listening.

What do you like to do outside of work? 

Family is my priority, but my husband and I do enjoy traveling. We spent two weeks in Italy this year. The trip was everything I hoped it would be and more.  Next up in 2026 is Ireland to visit my family. In addition, we often travel to watch MLB, NFL, and college football games.

What are your favorite sports and sports teams?

I enjoy both football and baseball. I am a CHEESEHEAD by birth. I was born in Wisconsin and spent my elementary years there until moving to Idaho. Go Pack Go! In addition, I have been a NY Yankees fan since I was young. My English Cream Golden Retriever is named Jeter.

Do you have a personal motto that you feel is reflected in your role at TruStage?

Yes, I do.  Mindset is everything!  I find that a positive mindset has helped me grow, stay motivated, confident, and ultimately has led to stronger outcomes both personally and professionally.
