Tom Fundis

2011 Mitch Reed Volunteer of the Year

Tom Fundis, a long-time member of Family First FCU's board, was honored for his dedication and contributions to his credit union and the Montana credit union movement when he was recognized as the 2010 Mitch Reed Volunteer of the Year.

Fundis has contributed immensely to the credit union movement by providing 29 years of volunteer service. He has served half of his volunteer time in a leadership role—either as chairman or vice chairman of his board at Family First FCU in Great Falls. In addition to the formal leadership roles, he also avails himself to the credit union as a handyman and landscaper!

He is such an inspiration as a volunteer, that his daughter Corinne Cole now also serves as a credit union volunteer. When talking about her dad, she said, “dedicated or crazy, I am not sure … I just know that when he volunteers to do something, he wholeheartedly believes in it and will do whatever it takes to get the job—whatever it is—done.”

“We're lucky in Montana to have volunteers who are so deserving of this recognition. And, Tom is clearly one of the best," said Tracie Kenyon, Network President/CEO. “This award is really a small tribute to the time, effort, and incredible work that Tom has volunteered these past 29 years.”
