Small Loans PSA Campaign
It's Officially Award-Winning
The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) named this campaign Best Credit Union Ad, and Best Community Relations Program, as well as dubbing it the "Pro-Best of Show" when it announced its 2011 Blockbuster and Pro Awards recipients.
In these award-winning moments, the recipient often pauses to thank those responsible... So, here goes: This campaign was supported and developed by Americorps*VISTA Member Jim Auer during his year of service with MCUCD. It was largely funded with a grant from the National Credit Union Foundation. Thanks, Jim! Thanks, NCUF!

The Campaign Itself
Too many Montanans end up paying too much for small, short term loans … they don't know that their credit union offers an alternative. We developed a public awareness campaign to promote the fact that all credit unions make small loans (on a case-by-case basis and typically without advertising). Check out the television PSA below.
Get Involved
During September and October, the campaign ran state-wide on television, radio, and through materials distributed by credit unions and community organizations. Credit unions throughout the state got involved with the campaign!

Television PSA -- Here are the actual words.
In our constantly changing world, it’s comforting to know that some things haven’t changed. Over the fence is still a homerun…apples, sugar, flour, butter, and a little cinnamon still make the best pie. And after 100 years, credit unions still make small loans to folks in need. Most credit unions will make loans as small as $300. Look no further than your local credit union. Visit montanacreditunions.coop to find a credit union near you!
