Community Development

Montana Credit Unions for Community Development (or MCUCD) is a state-wide nonprofit organization working together with Montana's credit unions to improve the lives and financial independence of all Montanans. 

Formed in 2003, MCUCD works closely with its parent organization the Montana Credit Union Network and credit unions from around the state. MCUCD also has the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) designation from the U.S. Treasury Department, and a 501(c)(3) charitable designation from the IRS. 
 
Currently MCUCD’s efforts center in the following four areas. Click on each category to get more information in each area.
