Deanna Brost

2014 Montana Credit Union Professional of the Year

Deanna Brost receives Professional of the Year Award from MCUN Board Chair Bernie Neibauer.

Deanna Brost, president/CEO of McCone County Federal Credit Union, was recently named the 2014 Credit Union Professional of the Year at an awards dinner held in Helena.

The recognition is from the Montana Credit Union Network (MCUN), a Helena-based organization that exists to promote and enhance a thriving credit union community. MCUN President and CEO Tracie Kenyon said she can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award because her dedication to serving others personally and professionally is evident.

Brost has been with the credit union for 31 years and served various roles on state and national committees but has maintained a deep commitment to the Circle community. She works tirelessly to better the town she loves and is well-known by neighbors as a powerhouse. In recent years, she has been involved in the McCone 100 Club to construct the new fire hall and with the Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to bring a new hotel.

Brost is an advocate for the county’s aging population. She’s been involved in creating elder abuse awareness, delivers food and gifts during the holidays, and is known to load up her car with passengers and head to concerts in Glendive or a theater performance in North Dakota.

Those who know her often say she always has a smile, a kind word, and is the one most likely to remember those that others forget. They say she always takes the high road and that doing good is just part of who she is. Her legacy at the credit union of putting people first and is a true example of what professionalism means.
